We are looking for a full-time Account Manager to join our growing team in Chesterfield, MO.

SUMMARY

To assist in the development of the Private Client department through the growth of new business and retention by providing prompt, accurate, professional service and sales to clients, producers and carriers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES

Assist Senior Account Manager with new and renewal business by:

  • Contacting clients and gathering information.
  • Preparing applications.
  • Researching client policy needs and premium data.
  • Preparing proposal information.
  • Delivers professional client service for new and renewal business on book assigned.
  • Following established written guidelines ensure prompt, accurate processing and validation of policies, endorsements, invoices and claims.
  • Preparing accurate and appropriate correspondence to clients, producers and carriers regarding policy changes and claims.
  • Maintains effective working relationships with all carriers.
  • Conduct on-line rating and use of insurance analysis tools.
  • Ensures confidentially of information acquired.
  • Adherence to all aspects of the agency’s guidelines and procedures.
  • Provide administrative support including photocopying, faxing, scanning for email and filing.
  • Serves as backup for team members when they are out of the office.
  • All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or general education degree; some college or higher education preferred;
  • 2 years’ experience in insurance with strong client service skills

  • Capable of computing rate, ratio, and percent.

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to work independent as well as a team.

Computer Skills

  • PC operation to an intermediate level, including word processing and data entry.
  • Standard software programs utilized: Microsoft Office Suite, Internet

Machines, Tools, Equipment and Work Aids which may be representative but not all inclusive of those commonly associated with this position:

  • PC and associated software, printer, fax, telephone, copier, calculator, scanner

License(s)/Certification(s) Required:

  • MO or IL Property & Casualty Producer’s license required
  • CIC, CPCU, or CISR designation preferred

On-The-Job Training Time:

  • Six (6) to nine (9) months.

Physical/Visual Activities or Demands: Physical/visual activities or demands that are commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this position the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to lift up to 25 pounds. The vision requirements include close vision and ability to adjust and focus.

Work Environment: Environmental and atmospheric conditions commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job.

Primarily normal office conditions; the noise level in the environment is quiet. Occasional exposure to weather conditions when entertaining clients and visiting client or carrier locations.
