WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

As a Connected Marketplace Insights & Analytics Manager you will work to design measurable consumer-facing business models that help us test into future frontiers and explore new revenue streams for Nike. You will need to understand the business priorities and help develop an executable strategy for quantifying the potential of these partnerships. Adopting an entrepreneurial spirit, you will balance a pragmatic mindset with a can-do approach to help all us better understand how we are executing against our goals.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background including data analysis, statistical tools, creating/using algorithms and communicating the findings and details to a broad audience. They will work with a wide range of stakeholders and guiding non-technical partners how to understand, interpret, and take action on data-driven results.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
  • Support the Connected Marketplace program by understanding key business questions and providing insights and analytics that help inform decision-making for this new & growing focus of Nike’s strategy.
  • Conduct a range of analytics, including deep-dive projects, test & learn experiments, and pilot performance analytics to translate data into relevant insights.
  • Build novel methods of analyzing data that could lead us to new insights that help us evaluate social media commerce campaigns
  • Deliver presentations grounded in data that identify key trends, themes and offer recommendations on solutions to key questions.
  • Serve as the expert on analytics across several workstreams, providing a perspective on what data we have, what analytics can tell us about it, and how we can use it to optimize the best experience for our consumers and our business.
WHAT YOU BRING
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or similar preferred.
  • 3-5 years of relevant professional experience or combination of work and academic.
  • Proven ability to sift through data, identify critical information, analyze, develop hypotheses and make recommendations required.
  • Advanced SQL skills required. Experience querying big data environments preferred (e.g. Hadoop, Hive, Impala, Snowflake, Databricks).
  • Ability to develop strong partnerships across a multi-layered organization will be critical.
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present information to a variety of technical and non-technical audiences
  • A consumer driven mindset—being passionate about understanding how technology is changing commerce with some curiosity about new social platforms and new digital experiences around the world.
