Injection Specialist II

The Injection Specialist II is responsible for operating, maintaining and monitoring production runs on the HyPET90 injection machine. Projects will include but not be limited to; primary packaging development support, operation and maintenance of the onsite HyPET90 injection machine as well as supporting internal department request and plant support. (NOTE: Night Shift hours will be from approximately 5pm-2am.)

Essential Functions

  • Maintenance and set up of injection tooling and machinery.
  • Startup machine and set up optimal process for production and monitor production for whole run.
  • Manage production schedule and ensure necessary resin and any additional required materials or tooling are onsite by requested deadline.
  • Execute projects provided by direct supervisor with little to no supervision.
  • Part quality inspection via microscope and other tools provided to ensure no out of specification parts are utilized for testing.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems using schematics, technical drawings and testing equipment.
  • Project coordination and communication of project status to internal customers and management.
  • Manage virgin and recycled resin delivery and preparation.
  • Cross departmental collaboration with Research Development and Packaging Development to ensure all project requirements are being met.
  • Store, package and coordinate shipment of samples.
  • Upkeep of documentation and inventory list of parts and tooling.
  • Ability to problem solve and adapt to unforeseen situations.
  • Understand and adhere to plant and machine safety regulations.
  • List if any travel is required using percentage of time:
    • 25% - on average travels 1 week out of the month

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • 2 Years – Experience in Manufacturing or related field
    • 2 Years – Experience in Position
    • 2 Years – Experience managing people/projects

    • 4 Years – Experience in Manufacturing
    • 4 Years – Experience working in Position

Education

  • Minimum Required:
    • High school diploma or GED.
    • Prior experience in the bottling industry as a technology specialist, PLC factory focus, senior mechanic, or related role.
  • Preferred:
    • Bachelor's Degree in related field pertaining to manufacturing, electrical, or mechanical engineering
