Information Management/Data Specialist Details

The Information Management/Data Specialist will assist in development of the Integrated Information Management (Classified and Unclassified) Planning to include Capital Project Planning.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the development of roadmaps for the transition of application and data between networks and provide file sharing tools or mechanism to communicate and share large data files between other external entities;
  • Work closely with the IT/Cybersecurity Solutions Architect(s) to provide recommendations for an architecture for enterprise data integration between applications and data sources required for build book production (e.g. data warehouse, data broker, data replication, etc.) to include classified and unclassified environments;
  • Provide suggestions for management of classified and unclassified data; and
  • Work closely with the Network Engineer(s) to develop a master plan for the disposition of a retiring network and integration/migration of important data to the new network.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or equivalent major and 8 years of experience; or equivalent education and experience.
  • Experience with data management requirements based on FIPS 199 categorizations to include classified and unclassified data requirements
  • Experience implementing data management policies and procedures to address unique data requirements based on classification type and information protection level requirements
  • Experience addressing data flow challenges across network segments where the data classification changes
  • Experience with data flow techniques used by Industrial Controls
  • Experience addressing data management security challenges

Experience in applying NIST and DOE guidance to IT/Cyber programs. This includes but is not limited to:

  • FIPS 199
  • NIST SP 800-37 “Risk Management Framework for Information Systems and Organizations”
  • NIST SP 800-82 “Guide to Industrial Control Systems (ICS) Security”
  • NIST SP 800-53 “Security and Privacy Controls for Federal Information Systems and Organizations”
  • NIST SP 800-160 vol 1&2 “Systems Security Engineering: Considerations for a Multidisciplinary Approach in the Engineering of Trustworthy Secure Systems”
  • Understanding of classified and unclassified cybersecurity needs and the ability to work with Derivative Classifiers, Records Management, Cybersecurity, and other data and security related organizations
  • Ability to define scope of technical programs and development of an effective and efficient solution to challenges which involve unique or controversial problems. Routine use of systems and meeting all the requirements with little supervisory guidance.
  • Ability to obtain a Q clearance is required.
  • US Citizenship.
  • Ablility to pass a drug test.
