Responsibilities: Infection Control Nurse/IC Nurse is responsible to plan, organize, develop, coordinate, educate and direct infection prevention and control programs in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations
- Assist with policy and procedures development and implementation while maintaining CDC, OSHA, state, and local regulations concerning infection prevention and control.
- Act as a primary education consultant to facility staff, residents, and visitors in safe Infection Control/Prevention practices.
- Maintain a written record of all residents and employees with community-or healthcare associated infections.
- Perform administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports evaluations, studies, charting, etc., as necessary
- Provide direct nursing care as necessary.
You’ll be great to join our team as our Infection Control Nurse/IC Nurse because …
- You hold an active and current unencumbered RN/LPN license in the state of MO
- You are IP/IC Certified
- You have, two (2) years+ clinical experience in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related healthcare facility.
- Must possess a working knowledge of epidemiology, microbiology, infection disease, and/or aseptic technique to include standard/transmission-based precautions.
