RESPONSIBILITIES: As part of the Early Childhood Education staff, the Infant and Toddler teacher is responsible for developing strong nurturing relationships with children, families and Adelante Mujeres staff to implement the vision and daily operations of the program. The Infant and Toddler Teacher will ensure each child’s safety, health, and development in accordance with individual needs and abilities by planning and implementing culturally appropriate learning experiences that advance the intellectual, emotional, social, and physical development of babies and toddlers. They will utilize best practices to provide appropriate services to children, and comply with Adelante Mujeres policies and procedures, Head Start Performance Standards, and policies, as well as Office of Child Care regulations for certified childcare centers. The ideal candidate will be inspired by and fully committed to both the Adelante Mujeres and Head Start vision and mission, and have a history of working with infants, toddlers and families.
