Faurecia Interior Systems, Inc., a Tier-1 supplier of automotive interior systems and components, seeks an Industrial Process Excellence (IPEX) Manager in Auburn Hills, Michigan. National travel to manufacturing plants 80 %. Duties: liaise with autonomous production units and internal technical services to ensure the proper processing of maintenance requirements; provide technical and industrial solutions for the maintenance of manufacturing machines, equipment, and manufacturing plants; oversee the deployment of equipment care and maintenance initiatives; manage the deployment of maintenance best practices; develop training and workshop materials to support the deployment of equipment care initiatives; assist plant maintenance managers meet maintenance readiness targets for new programs; lead the resolution of issues relating to underperforming machines, tooling and maintenance practices; define external support required to solve machine downtime issues; collect maintenance work instructions and procedures to populate TPM server; ensure compliance with maintenance KPIs (breakdown time, costs, mean time to repair, mean time between failures, score in maintenance roadmap, score in cash roadmap, spare parts, consumables, inventory value); ensure compliance with preventative maintenance standards; liaise with central team to organize Plant Mobility workshops; ensure the proper use of statistical process control real view and analytics application tools; use e-Spare database to support the management of spare parts lists; lead manufacturing productivity analyses; provide technical assistance to plant manufacturing engineering teams, maintenance teams and autonomous production unit managers to solve problems relating to the reliability and breakdown rates of manufacturing equipment; manage maintenance process improvements and the deployment of remedial action plans; coach and train maintenance technicians and process engineers on IPEX maintenance standards; ensure compliance with HSE guidelines. Minimum education required: Bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or foreign equivalent degree. In lieu of Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering, will accept 4 years of post-secondary education with major or concentration in the same. Minimum experience required: 5 years’ experience in a maintenance coordinator or maintenance manager position (or combination) with a Tier-1 supplier of automotive interior systems and components. Required skills: Must have 5 years’ work experience in each of the following: implementing and monitoring preventative and corrective maintenance activities; ensuring compliance with manufacturing cost saving methodologies. Must have 4 years’ experience in each of the following: developing and implementing maintenance plans and procedures for, and troubleshooting, maintaining and repairing, machines (ultrasonic welding, vibration welding, hot stamping, injection molding, foaming, slush, 3-axis robots) used in the manufacture of automotive interior components; developing and presenting of training materials to maintenance coordinators, production managers and technician teams; using SAP Wearhouse Management System.
