Overview

Onimus, LLC is currently accepting applications for an Industrial Painter position within the organization. Onimus provides their services to the utility, municipal, industrial, and piping industries throughout Southeastern Pennsylvania. The ideal candidate must be highly self motivated and enjoys painting an array of fabrications made from a variety of metals. Daily responsibilities may change based on the client’s needs but expect a constant painting schedule. The role will be challenged with new processes and products due to the industries the organization is diversified in.

Responsibilities

The Industrial Painter will prepare surfaces and apply primers and paints to a variety of pipe fabrications, structural builds, handrails, miscellaneous materials, and parts to complete the manufacturing process. He or she must possess the knowledge and experience to conform to the specifications presented by clients and execute to the standards set within the different industries. One must have an exceptional eye for quality and take true pride in his or her work. This position requires manual dexterity, strength, endurance, flexibility, and the ability to follow details to precision. The position must have strong planning skills to organize, schedule, and execute the finishing of work to prevent a bottlenecking effect on the operations. All equipment and tools must be kept in good working order and maintenanced weekly. Below are further responsibilities the successful candidate will be looked upon to manage:

  • Rigging and / or hanging product to successfully complete the application of primer / paint
  • Clean and prep surfaces prior to painting
  • Review and recognize blemishes or imperfections in product
  • Apply tapes or adhesives over parts or areas not to be painted
  • Placing items, after painting, in designated curing areas
  • Final assembly of product after curing process
  • Prioritizing work in order as needed
  • Completing tasks efficiently, consistently, and independently
  • Alert Administration when problems arise that may prevent the product from being completed
  • Maintain productivity while ensuring quality results
  • Ensure paint shop is kept clean, organized, and safe of any hazards

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or GED required
  • 3 years’ experience or Trade School Equivalent
  • Proof of identity and employment eligibility
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
  • Understanding of multiple coating processes
  • Ability to read and understand paint specifications
  • Experience with 2 part epoxy and enamel products applied to small diameter piping systems
  • Knowledge on paint equipment and paint booth operations
  • Demonstrated ability to use, mix, and spray industrial / manufacturing coatings
  • Ability to work with custom paint applications in a fast paced, changing environment
  • Willingness to learn new skills, processes, and concepts
  • Tolerance to loud noises, sounds, and a steel fabrication environment
  • Previous work experience in a manufacturing / production facility
  • Reliable transportation to and from work
  • Must be on time for scheduled work shifts
  • Ability to work overtime and occasional weekends as needed
  • Must have a positive attitude
  • Ability to multi task and re-prioritize works / tasks in progress
  • High productivity expectations
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening
