Altaflex, a division of OSI Electronics, is seeking an In-Process Inspector that will perform inspection of manufacturing goods during the manufacturing process. This position conducts inspections of Flexible Printed Circuit Boards and Rigid flex for defects, as well as interprets prints, manufacturing drawings, diagrams, etc., in order to verify that the product meets proper standards.Responsibilities:

  • Perform First Article review and create technical reports with the dimensional and test information per Company, industry, and/or customer requirements.
  • Utilizing a microscope, verify that various product measurements of item characteristics, such as dimensions, angles, centering, etc., are accurate per the customer requirements. Once tested, complete required inspection documentation per Company standards.
  • Review product lot travelers, logs, and production records for completion and accurate traceability.
  • Re-work panels/ parts if applicable and if necessary.
  • Demonstrate behavior consistent with the company’s Code of Ethics and Conduct
  • It is the responsibility of every employee to report to their manager or a member of senior management any quality problems or defects in order for corrective action to be implemented and to avoid recurrence of the problem
  • Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 4+ years of manufacturing inspection work experience in a production environment.
  • Basic knowledge of techniques for assuring product quality and a keen attention to detail.
  • Fluency with fractions, decimals, angles, dates and percentages and AQL sample size determination.
  • Ability to read drawings\blue prints and drawing dimensional call-outs and identify associated inspection techniques
  • Understanding of flexible printed materials with ability to inspect with minimal guidance
  • Competence with measuring tools (e.g., optical measurement microscope, etc)
  • Required dexterity and preciseness with a microscope and other needed tools for long periods of time.
  • Basic knowledge of IPC6013
  • Knowledge of process auditing techniques to ensure compliance to defined quality requirements.
  • Ability to pass a vision exam, meeting the requirements of Snellen 14/18 (20/30) or equivalent
  • Must be able to read, write, and verbally effectively communicate in the business language (English).
  • Working knowledge of computer basic skills and Microsoft Office. Manufacturing inventory software knowledge, a plus.
