Immigration Program Manager Position Overview:

The Immigration Program Manager is responsible for ensuring every element of the immigration program is meeting US and global compliance/legal requirements and updated so there is no disruption or risk to the ability to obtain/renew work authorization and permanent residency for employees and future hires. The ideal candidate will have previous experience managing critical immigration compliance subject matter expertise, give direction to HR, and business leaders to support the immigration needs of all businesses.

Immigration Program Manager Position Responsibilities:

  • Track all case files and keep them moving through the process in a timely manner while utilizing the immigration vendor.
  • Educate the businesses and will develop best practices to improve our level of service and efficiency.
  • Work with various business leaders to develop an understanding of seasonal & permanent staffing needs that could be fulfilled with foreign labor
  • Overseeing Application and Petition submissions to local and federal government agencies
  • Maintain relationships with foreign countries consulates and embassies
  • Manage relationships with foreign labor staffing agencies
  • Supervise permanent resident card program plus oversee qualification & placement of applicants
  • Arrangement of interviewing for “skilled trade” positions
  • Management of H2B coordinator at each Outworx company
  • Staying up to date on the most recent news, attending conferences & events related to immigration
  • Create and provide immigration training presentations to interested parties.
  • Partner with HR to maintain compliance with immigration law. Where applicable, support filing new visa petition in line with associated change(s).

Immigration Program Manager Position Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 plus years of directly related experience in the immigration field and with processing of US work visas.
  • Experience with a multi-state organization.
  • 2 years of human resources and/or recruiting experience
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of all types of US work visa categories and in depth understanding of employment based green card process
  • Bilingual speaking preferred
  • Prior management or supervisory experience preferred
  • Ability to work well with a diverse group of people, including Human Resources, Legal, Talent Acquisition, hiring managers, and candidates from countries throughout the world, as well as their families.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field.
  • Ability to lead with compassion, have a growth mindset, and embrace teamwork.
