Edmonds College has an exciting career opportunity that works in close collaboration with grant-wide community partners and the HPOG/I-CATCH Marketing and Communications Coordinator. This position will develop and carry out community-based outreach and student recruitment activities with the goal of increasing enrollment in the HPOG/I-CATCH program at four campuses served by this $3M federally funded grant. Build, maintain, and engage community partnerships to increase enrollment of eligible, low-income individuals in healthcare training programs through the HPOG/I-CATCH grant program at all campuses served by the program: Represent the HPOG/I-CATCH program at recruitment events in the community – fairs, presentations, tabling, etc. Collaborate with the Edmonds College Outreach Team and other internal campus stakeholders in Professional-Technical training programs supported through the grant, to develop and implement recruitment and enrollment strategies for the HPOG/I-CATCH program: Coordinate recruitment and onboarding efforts for the HPOG/I-CATCH program: REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 2 years’ experience in customer service, outreach, recruitment, marketing, sales, or public and/or community relations Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups representing diverse backgrounds, life experiences, and abilities DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: PHYSICAL WORK ENVIRONMENT: Semi-Sedentary Work: Involves staying in a stationary position to a significant degree. Jobs are sedentary if moving is required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met. Work is performed at the Edmonds College campus and may require travel to partner colleges in neighboring counties. Currently work is remote but will be ultimately housed at Edmonds College. Positions in this class typically require operating a computer, communicating, observing and repetitive motions. Exerting between 10-30 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to transport, put, install, remove, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. HPOG/I-CATCH Grant Community Outreach and Recruitment Specialist
This position is funded through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Administration of Children and Families’ Health Professions Opportunity Grant through September 29, 2021, at which time further funding will likely be secured. All HPOG/I-CATCH positions are dependent upon HPOG fund availability.

This is a professional exempt position reporting directly to the Director of the HPOG/I-CATCH Grant. The funding for this position is supported by a six-year grant from HPOG (Health Professions Opportunity Grant) which is currently funded through September 29, 2021. Edmonds College intends to apply for further HPOG funding in the current year which will possibly provide 5 additional years of funding.

Salary is $48,000 - 52,000 annually and is based on the Edmonds CC administrative/exempt salary schedule, plus a full state benefits package, which includes tuition waivers for college classes, medical, dental, retirement options, and more. Vacation and leave packages include 12 sick days per year, 10 scheduled holidays, 1 personal holiday, and 24 vacation leave days per year.
FLSA Status:The position is an exempt position under the Fair Labor Standards Act requirements.
