The Department of Mental Health is a drug-free workplace. All candidates will be required to pass a mandatory pre-employment drug test. This position is located at the Lexington County Community Mental Health Center (LCCMHC) Child, Adolescent, and Family Clinic (CAF), located at:

305 Palmetto Park Boulevard
Lexington, SC 29072

Under general supervision of the Director, intensive community based treatment services utilizing Multidimensional Family Therapy Model to children, adolescents, and families.

  • Provide direct clinical treatment services to clients and families, including (but not limited to), assessment, individual therapy, group treatment, family therapy, crisis interventions for a minimum of 840 hours annually.
  • Complete certification process for Multidimensional Family Therapy and participate in treatment team meetings to maintain full fidelity to the model.
  • Completes clinical services notes/documentation in an appropriate and timely manner that meets Federal/State/QA/CARF Standards.
  • Complies with corporate compliance policies, regulations, statues, (General State, Local DMH) or laws regulating the provision of health care and demonstrates fiscal responsibility and accountability

Minimum Requirements:
Minimum requirement: A bachelor's degree and professional experience in human services or social services programs.

Agency Requirements:
Mental Health Counselor: A Master's degree in guidance, counseling or the social sciences
