Human Resources Manager/Generalist

Overview:
Responsible for the strategy, development and execution of Jackson Physician Search talent acquisition and human resources initiatives. This position works closely with all levels of the organization as well as external stakeholders within Jackson Healthcare.
Description:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
- Talent Acquisition
- Responsible for JPS corporate talent acquisition strategy and execution
- Develops trusted business relationships with all levels of the organization
- Consults with hiring managers and JPS leadership to determine talent acquisition needs, priorities, and ideal candidate profiles
- Creates and posts eye-catching job advertisements on appropriate job boards and sites
- Sources and thoroughly screens all JPS candidates; administers pre-employment assessments and interprets results; summarizes candidate profile and makes recommendations to hiring managers
- Coordinates interview scheduling and candidate travel as necessary; ensures a best-in-class candidate experience throughout all stages with JPS
- Initiates reference checks and distributes summary reports to managers as appropriate
- Presents, negotiates, and closes employment offers for the HQ location, satellite offices and remote positions nationwide
- Represents JPS interests and talent acquisition needs as a member of the Jackson Healthcare project teams as required
- Creates and utilizes successful recruiting initiatives by applying knowledge of recruiting technology, social media, and web-recruiting techniques
- Researches, evaluates, and makes recommendations regarding talent acquisition vendors (staffing agencies, material suppliers, etc.); manages agency relationships
- Attends on-campus recruitment fairs and manages university job postings as necessary to support entry-level recruiting efforts
- Creates and produces talent acquisition and culture-related content in partnership with JPS Marketing to distribute on social media channels
- Human Resources
- Collaborates with JH-HR Director or VP and JPS leadership to manage employee relations, performance management, investigations, and discipline up to and including terminations; supports management in associate meetings as needed
- Ensures separation paperwork is completed and termination ESRs submitted to JH-HR; follows up with departed associates to ensure timely return of JPS equipment
- Responds to unemployment
- Maintains and internal network of professional relationships with a vested interest in associate and company success
- Collaborates with JH-HR on projects and process improvement initiatives
- Composes policies as required; works directly with JH-HR and Legal for review/rollout
- Trains associates on applications, HCMS systems, and company policies
- Composes and distributes company-wide communications related to HR
- Analyzes insights from JH-HR-provided data and surveys to support business decisions and influence positive change
- Assists management team in completing the associate performance review process
- Creates and manages associate related content for JPS WorkPlace page
- Updates and maintains associate directory and JPS organizational chart
- Orders business cards, equipment/software, and cell phones for all new associates; completes capital expenditure requests as required and follows up to ensure approval
- Manage submittal and JPS coordination of office moves
- Maintain inventory of JPS collateral related to new hires (polos, padfolios, etc.)
- Miscellaneous
- Champions external competitive recognition opportunities annually, including Modern Healthcare’s Best Places to Work and Fortune’s Best Places to Work
- Assists with miscellaneous administrative projects or tasks as needed
- Occasional travel for associate meetings or company events
- Other duties as required

Requirements:QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years in a similar position, preferably within a sales organization
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- SHRM-CP/PHR or the desire to obtain human resources certification preferred
- Experience recruiting entry-level through experienced sales professionals
- Experience managing complex employee relations and performance management matters
- Ability to provide HR insight and consultation to leadership, and coach managers through sensitive or difficult conversations
- Ability to manage sensitive or confidential documents and information with discretion and tact
- Excellent organizational, project and time management skills; ability to prioritize tasks and projects with appropriate sense of urgency and diligent follow through
- Professionalism, punctuality, and reliability to work autonomously
- Others first mindset and positive attitude a must: experience responding to requests from internal customers/clients promptly and professionally; flexibility to adjust quickly as priorities change or immediate needs shift
