Human Resources Manager

JOB SUMMARY: This person carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages and oversees the recruitment process, including job postings and background checks
- Manages the hiring process, including offer letters, IT, payroll & accounting notification, benefits enrollment, and employee file setup
- Provides guidance and support on day-to-day employee relations issues, employee investigations, and escalates findings as necessary
- Keeps up to date with the latest HR trends and best practices
- Develops organizational guidelines and procedures
- Creates and maintains accurate and compliant personnel files, HRIS system, forms, acknowledgments, and HR Shared Drive (electronic files)
- Completes administrative tasks and other duties assigned including but not limited to creating/updating internal paperwork, forms, and templates
- Creates customized reports, as necessary
- Administers benefits and coordinates annual open enrollment
- Conducts semi annual employee satisfaction survey, and synthesizes results for presentation to leadership
- Process disability, unemployment, and worker’s compensation claims; acts as a liaison between employee and respective third parties.
- Provides counseling for team members on matters of company or personal concern as it pertains to their employment and professional development
- Mediates conflict resolution when necessary
- Administers terminations according to company policy and state employment guidelines

STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE

- 5-10 years of HR experience required.
- Represents Boochcraft in a positive manner.
- Maintain an excellent attendance record.

- Able to work with a high degree of autonomy and minimal supervision.
- Able to prioritize multiple tasks according to business needs.
- Must be available to work at least 5 days per week including occasional nights, weekends, and/or holidays.

Work Environment: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet. The lighting in the work environment may be dim.
Physical Requirements: Candidate must be able to perform physical activities which include but are not limited to lifting, bending over, kneeling, twisting, climbing on ladders, stooping, crouching, and routinely lifting up to 50 lbs. Candidates may be required to stand and or sit for various hours at a time. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
