Human Resources Manager

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for employee relations, benefits, recruitment, payroll, and legal procedures. This role will formulate policies and procedures for the Human Resources department and recommend practices to senior management. The HR Manager will oversee and mentor Human Resources staff.
- Develops and administers various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel. Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
- Administer compensation program; rewrites job descriptions as necessary; monitors performance evaluation program and revises as necessary.
- Develops, recommends, and implements personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains handbook on policies and procedures.
- Supports recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel; conducts new-employee orientations; employee relations counseling, and exit interviewing.
- Oversees payroll processing, ensuring compliance with appropriate state and federal laws.
- Evaluates reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
- Consults legal counsel to ensure that policies comply with federal and state law. Develops and maintains a human resources system that meets management information needs.
- Coordinates management training in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, and sexual harassment.
- Partners with management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.
- Administers performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization.
- Administers benefits programs such as life, health, and dental insurance, retirement plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance.
- Participates in annual budgeting process by developing budget for human resources operations.
.Requirements:- Bachelors' degree in HR or related field required plus a minimum of 3-5 years experience in HR Administration.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in supervisory role.
- SHRM-SCP preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with employees and the general public.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in daily operations and to conduct daily duties in a professional appearance and manner.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects at once.
- Ability to function as a team player.
- The ability to relate well to people and work in cooperation with others to effectively coordinate activities in order to accomplish tasks.
- Must have demonstrated the ability to adapt to a variety of human resource issues with successful outcomes and demonstrate openness to new ideas and approaches.
- Must possess a strong understanding and appreciation of a diverse work environment.
