Job Summary: The Human Resources Manager oversees the daily workflow of the HR department, develops and implements HR strategies and initiatives in line with company strategy, bridges management and employee relations by addressing grievances and other issues, and manages the recruitment and selection process.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the leadership team to understand and execute the company’s human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning
  • Provide support and guidance to HR generalists, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations
  • Manage employee benefits, benefits administration, and benefits compliance
  • Manage the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles; collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings
  • Onboard new hires, scheduling new hire orientation, and assigning new hire trainings
  • Payroll maintenance, payroll processing, applying for state income tax withholding and state unemployment insurance
  • Analyze trends in compensation and benefits; research and propose competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent
  • Create learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees
  • Administer compliance training
  • Oversee employee relations, disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations
  • Monitor employee engagement and oversee employee engagement activities
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance
  • Mange workers compensation
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
  • Perform other duties as assigned

. Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources, Labor Relations, Organizational Development, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in Human Resources in all functional areas of HR.
  • Excellent Program Management skills
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledgeable in a broad range of HR strategies and practices, including (but not limited to) compensation, performance management, hiring, employee relations, employment law
  • Experience with analyzing data to guide strategic planning
  • Strong empathy and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of personalities
  • Ability to create a culture of diversity, inclusion, collaboration, and teamwork
  • Experience with defining and presenting recruiting and pipeline metrics and data

Other Desired Skills:

  • Master’s Degree in Business, Human Resources, Labor Relations, Organizational Development, or related field
  • HR Certification (PHR, SHRM)
  • Experience designing, assessing, deploying, and optimizing talent campaigns and initiatives
  • Comfortable with routinely shifting demands
