The Human Resources Manager is responsible for managing recruitment, compensation, benefit programs, learning and development, employee relations, legal compliance and regulatory reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of human resource operations including payroll system management, training, employee relations, and benefit programs.

  • Support business leaders through managing the talent management process, including recruitment, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and career development.

  • Ensure legal compliance of company policies and practices, benefits, leave programs, etc.

  • Assist employees and managers in the interpretation and application of policies and procedures.

  • Assist managers with coaching and counseling situations and employment separation, as needed.

  • Assist employees with completing benefit claim forms.

  • Manage corporate office manager and receptionist/admin positions.

  • Investigate employee issues and conflicts and bring them to resolution.

  • Stay current on trends in compensation and benefits; research and propose competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.

  • Maintain knowledge of trends and best practices in human resources.

  • Perform other functions and special projects, as assigned.


Requirements:

  • Strong interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication, presentation, and relationship building.

  • Excellent organization and follow-through skills.

  • Demonstrated experience managing employee and benefit plan records.

  • Ability and desire to work collaboratively with key business stakeholders.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive issues.

  • Demonstrate good judgment and ethical behavior.

  • Strong knowledge of federal and state labor and employment law.

  • Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite or related software, payroll/HRIS systems, and basic data analysis.

  • High energy level, self-starter with a positive, customer-centric attitude.

  • Proven ability to navigate through ambiguity within a dynamic environment.

  • Small amount of travel may be required.


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.

  • A minimum of five years of human resource management experience preferred.

  • Professional HR certification (i.e., SHRM-CP) highly desired.
