What the Human Resources Manager will do:

The Human Resources Manager will recognize our employees as our strongest asset!

As a Human Resources Manager, you will lead our committed and engaged team of HR professionals to adhere to and implement all applicable employment and healthcare regulations. Responsibilities will include:

  • Provide supervision and mentoring for Human Resources Assistants.
  • Participate in the development of Human Resources goals, objectives, philosophy, and strategic planning in relation to Masonic Villages of the Grand Lodge of PA's mission and trends in Human Resource Management.
  • Enforce, inform, educate, and interpret, as needed, employment laws, regulations, Masonic Village personnel policy handbook, code of conduct and other HR policies/procedures including wage information for employees, directors, supervisors, and administrators.
  • Implement plans for benefit services and other employer/employee recognition programs. Provide input/feedback concerning changes, policies, procedures, and benefits as they relate to human resources management, and to maintain high employee job stability.
  • Work collaboratively with external recruitment partners and corporate HR members to develop techniques and procedures and direct activities of recruitment and hiring to include active participation in recruiting and hiring events. Assist directors and hiring managers in the screening of applicants for review and interviewing.
  • Oversee the hiring, onboarding, and new employee orientation process for new employees to ensure efficiency and create a positive candidate experience.
  • Assist in overseeing in-service supervisory training programs to develop more effective relations between supervisors and staff; to include instruction to department managers, supervisors, and administrators in training methods; assist other members of departments with specific training or employee problems.
  • Assure compliance in Human Resources for compliance with other regulatory and legal requirements.
  • Maintain professional affiliations as appropriate and participate in professional activities to keep abreast of developments in health care administration and human resources.
  • Develop Quality Improvement monitors and benchmarks to improve department processes and procedures.
  • Responsible to run, analyze and benchmark Human Resources data/metrics including but not limited to turnover, retention, and quality.

Qualifications for the Human Resources Manager:

  • Bachelor's degree from an approved college or university with courses in Human Resources and Business Administration with additional courses in Psychology or Labor Relation Law.
  • Three to five years of Human Resources professional experience in a leadership role or capacity, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Excellent communications skills, both oral and written word.
  • High level of computer efficiency particularly with Office 365 including Word and Excel.
  • Experience with Human Resource Information System (HRIS) software, preferably Workday or another cloud-based program.
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Project management experience preferred or experience working collaboratively with interdepartmental teams.
  • SHRM or HRCI certification preferred.
