You will sit within a business unit and partner with senior HR People leaders to interpret business requirements.

How you will contribute

You will:

  • Deliver against the North American Human Resources and Labor Relations strategies at the manufacturing plant supporting the line leadership and functional teams in the areas of engagement, leave management, compliance, development of supervisor team, talent and performance management, and labor/employee relations.

  • Support and partner with the Senior People Lead on the definition and execution of global and local policy and change initiatives and understand the impacts of the changes planned

  • Works closely with the site People Leader and corporate team to support the administration of the local collective agreements with 5 unions.
  • Investigate grievances and provides labor relations coaching and solutions to plant staff in accordance with the collective agreement, established labor relations practices/strategies and related Federal/State legislation.
  • Takes lead on investigations and compliance cases related to Employee Relations with exposure to negotiations, arbitrations and grievance resolution.
  • Supports the People Leader and site leadership team in areas such as talent and performance management, leave administration, compensation administration, AAP completion, and the execution of employee engagement and communication strategies. Serves as backup to Org Pillar Leader for the continuous improvement process (IL6S).
  • Interfaces daily with employees, People Leader and plant leadership team, and Labor Relations COE representatives. Requires strong linkage to local HR Coordinator and Education and Training Manager.

What you will bring

  • Bachelor’s degree is required in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field
  • Minimum of 3 or more years of Human Resources Generalist experience with good working knowledge of State and Federal requirements.
  • Minimum of 2 or more years of proven ER/ Labor Relations experience driving change in a complex union environment. Experience administering grievances, interpreting collective agreements with exposure to arbitrations and negotiations.
  • Minimum of 2 or more years of recent experience in an Industrial/Manufacturing environment is a huge plus
  • 2 or more years of knowledge and experience working in HPWS, Lean Six Sigma or Total Productive Maintenance work systems would be considered an asset
  • Kronos/Workday experience would be considered an asset
