The HR Intern will be part of the Human Resources team for Global Information Technology Team (GIT). The candidate will have the opportunity to integrate academic knowledge and career goals with learning through productive work experiences, focusing on delivering a number of projects, as well as playing a key role in day to day activities such as recruitment and talent management. This is an excellent opportunity for students to gain industry knowledge, receive valuable on-the-job training, and junior HR generalist experience.


Assignments may include, but are not limited to:


  • Participate as a program team member for our GIT Internship Program

    • Partner with Program Managers, Program Coordinator and Recruiting

    • Recruit new Interns into the program

    • Manage applicant tracking in the Global Recruitment Management System

    • Conduct Phone Interviews

    • Coordinate and schedule on-site interviews

    • Manage the onboarding process and conduct orientation for new interns

    • Manage record keeping to ensure files and documents are up to date

    • Help maintain strong relationships with universities

    • Post new position listings on university websites

    • Schedule, provide logistics, and run weekly internship team meetings

    • Develop strategies utilizing best practices to attract, retain and develop interns

  • Provide support to the GIT HR team on projects as needed

  • Run ad-hoc reports from HR Systems, such as SAP

  • Create presentations to communicate project status/results

  • Conduct other activities as needed


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Current college or university student enrolled in an undergraduate program with a preferred concentration in Human Resources Management, Psychology or Industrial Relations
  • Approximate GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Documentation of authorization to work in the US and not requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel
  • Self-starter who can work in a lean, changing, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to collaborate with other interns and employees
  • Strong ability to plan and prioritize
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to ensure confidentiality of various communications/information
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
