Job Description:

The Human Resources Generalist serves to support and develop the organization’s human resources needs in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The Human Resources Generalist is exceptionally tech-saavy with proven ability to learn new tools and systems, along with proven expertise in reporting, project management, and Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint. The HR Generalist will support ASCAP in the areas including but not limited to HR people operations and administration, analytics and reporting, employee relations, and HR special projects.

Responsibilities:

HR Systems, Reporting, and Analytics

  • Maintains accurate employee files and system updates across all platforms and ASCAP’s HRIS system, Namely
  • Plans, designs, develops, tests, and implements new HR system enhancements
  • Manages monthly DOL statistics reporting
  • Become a subject matter expert and go-to for employee questions regarding in HR tools and systems including the HRIS, Namely, and applicant tracking system
  • Supports Namely systems changes, access role management, and custom field creation
  • Manages general HRIS support tasks such as time off, address change, and tax form requests
  • Proactively recommends systems-related upgrades, process improvement opportunities and innovative solutions for automating business processes.
  • Develops technical and end-user procedures, guidelines, documentation, and training for end users
  • Performs system audits to ensure data integrity as well as handle external audits
  • Provide HR generalist support for the contingent labor onboarding and offboarding process, contingent labor headcount and analytics oversight/reporting/tracking

People Operations and Projects

  • Supports the Senior Director of Human Resources in employee relations matters including developing and administering performance improvement plans and warnings
  • Addresses employee concerns and documents matters clearly and thoroughly
  • Supports processes and protocols related to returning to the workplace
  • Partners with the HR team to develop and implement recommendations focused on improving processes and policies across talent management, organizational effectiveness, and workforce planning
  • Maintains management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures
  • Supports ASCAP’s annual performance appraisal process and answers employee questions on how to utilize the system
  • Create PowerPoint presentations related to HR special projects such as department structure proposals and training and education roadmaps
  • Manages the employee offboarding process
  • Conducts exit interviews and identifies themes to develop realistic solutions and recommendations
  • Develops and suggests learning curriculum and training opportunities for employees
  • Manages the anti-harassment training and tracks compliance
  • Participates in a variety of project work across all areas of the HR function
  • Provides talent acquisition as needed

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 4+ years of progressive HR experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources administration, business administration, organization development, psychology or a related field.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint), reporting and analytics
  • A positive and open attitude, engaging and trustworthy presence, strong work ethic and initiative, relentless commitment to serving employees compassionately
  • Impeccable ability to exercise sound judgment and consult with management prior to making decisions
  • Extremely organized and highly detail-oriented.
  • Able to perform at a high level in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
  • Adaptability and flexibility to accommodate changing needs.
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to develop long-term plans and programs and to evaluate work accomplishments; superb project management skills.
