The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, and employment law compliance
Key Responsibilities
- Assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures, client group leaders in employee relations investigations such as disciplinary procedures and appropriate corresponding paperwork/documentation (e.g., Corrective Actions, PIPs)
- Assist in the implementation and management of leave processes (i.e.: administration tracking)
- Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form
- Identify and initiate human resource process improvements.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Conduct new employee orientations, presenting company policies and assist in orientation scheduling and preparing new hire packages.
- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Be the 1st point of contact for employee
- Process pay rate changes employees promotions, training to prod, market adjustments in HRIS.
- Support the HR Site Lead in attrition management, monitoring and analyzing turnover to develop.
- Manage onsite vendor contracts (foodservice, medical services, transportation etc.)
- Conduct exit interviews.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 1+yrs HR Generalist experience in the BPO is desired
- Strong knowledge of Labor Laws and fair Labor practices, recruiting and employee reactions
- Knowledge of legislations pertaining to employment
- Experience supporting hourly employees and client groups
- Knowledge of HR Systems
Key Competencies
- Strong communication skills (oral/written)
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel. Experienced with Google Docs Excellent time and project management skills.
- Adaptability to learn a variety of HR software programs.
- Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility, team orientation and willingness to learn.
