Human Resources Business Partner

Position Summary: Responsible for partnering with DC Leadership Teams and Corporate Human Resources department to ensure the departmental needs are fulfilled, with emphasis on employee engagement, Associate Relations, Talent Acquisition, Associate Retention, and day to day HR activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Partners with DC Leadership teams to support Associate coaching & counseling, performance management and exit interviews
- Process all unemployment claims and represents the Company for any unemployment claims as needed
- Ensures all Federal, State and Local laws and regulations are upheld.
- Partners with local teams to coordinate quarterly employee recognition and celebration events
- Partners with DC Leadership in each location to coordinate, hold, provide feedback and follow through on monthly employee round table discussions
- Assists corporate HR with companywide training on policy and legal updates
- Partners with DC Leadership & HR Leadership to escalate and resolve Employee Engagement issues, bring forward recommendations and solutions.
- Reviews Employee Corrective Action notices, maintains corrective action logs and advises DC Leadership & HR Leadership on issues and concerns
- Assists with Post-hire and Random Drug Screen Program (where applicable by law)
- Processes employee requests for employment related information
- Develops working knowledge of HRIS to support overall business needs
- Maintains confidentiality of information, including but not limited to employee data, employee relations and performance issues, strategic company information and FMLA/LOA issues.

Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field desired
- Advanced degree preferred
- PHR Certification desired
- Bi-lingual desired
- Minimum of 5-7 years HR generalist experience required, working in a distribution or warehouse environment.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Flexibility to provide coverage over multiple shifts and locations
- Ability to travel as needed
