CallisonRTKL seeks a Human Resources Business Partner for our Washington, DC office. This position interacts with all levels of employees. Responsibilities
- Manages and coordinates office overhead and budgets, accounting, administrative and human resource
functions
- Coordinates reception schedules, office moves and lease improvements
- Establishes office procedures and systems following firm-wide standards
- Coordinates training and may conduct training sessions as required by the Corporate HR team
- Provides benefits support and coordinates professional development and licensing initiatives
- Participates in staffing and office forecasting and works with management to find and recruit local talent
- Acts as timesheet administrator, including review and adjustment of employee timesheets and weekly
timesheet reports
- Conducts new hire orientations; interprets company policy; provides employee counseling and effectively
manages employee relations effectively at most levels
- Proactively manages recruitment efforts, applicant tracking database, and employee resourcing and outreach efforts
- Networks locally and builds diverse recruitment relationships
- Manages the intern program
- Manages and coordinates the office buddy and mentor programs, talent review process, exit and
stay interviews, office events, and immigration petitions
- Keeps abreast of employment laws and pending legislation and informs leadership and senior
management on related topics
- Prepares confidential documentation
- Maintains employee data in HRIS (UKG)
- Acts as local Health & Safety officer and may serve as the liaison for worker's compensation claims
- Acts as local compliance advocate
- Conducts non-complex employee incident investigations and works with the Chief Talent Officer on complex ones
- Shows leadership attributes across the HR team and the HR business partner community
- Shares best practices and lessons-learned opportunities
- Performs other duties as required by the office or the Corporate HR team
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in HR management, business administration, or related area
- 6+ years of experience in office and human resource management
- Certified Human Resources Professional preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and abilities to manage controversial situations positively
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with all levels of employees
- Highly confidential partner to the business
- Exemplary sound judgment, discretion and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work in a hybrid work environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, HR systems and databases
