We are currently recruiting for a seasoned HR Generalist to join our Human Resources Team! The HR Generalist will provide overall support to our manufacturing facility ensuring a safe environment at all times while administering policies relating to all phases of human resources.
Responsibilities:

  • Administers payroll by verifying hours worked in accordance with state laws, experience utilizing Paycom is preferred
  • Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures and reporting are in compliance
  • Recruits, interviews, tests and selects employees to fill vacant hourly positions
  • Responds to employee questions and inquiries regarding payroll policies and procedures
  • Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals
  • Keeps records of benefits plans participation, new hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.
  • Administers benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence and employee assistance.
  • Advises supervisors regarding appropriate resolution of employee relations issues such as disciplinary actions, terminations, promotions, performance reviews, safety and unlawful harassment
  • Assists with performance management, working closely with supervisors providing guidance for performance reviews and merit increases
  • Manages safety training, incidents and compliance, investigates accidents and prepares reports for insurance carrier.

Qualifications:

  • BA in HR or a related field is strongly preferred however a combination of education and experience will be considered
  • Two plus years of experience working in a manufacturing, logistics or similar environment is required
  • Two plus years with payroll time and attendance is preferred, experience with Paycom is highly desired
  • Safety experience required, which ideally includes managing an OSHA log and conducting safety training and meetings on a regular basis
  • Must have experience and desire to creatively and actively perform full cycle recruitment
