POSITION DESCRIPTION The HR Generalist/Recruiter is responsible for maintaining an ongoing recruiting effort to ensure that there are adequate numbers of caregivers for continued growth within the agency. This includes placing ads, networking with organizations within the community that are in contact with individuals that would be good candidates and creating/maintaining relationships with certified nursing assistant (CNA) schools or other schools in order to find the best candidates for the agency. This person will also conduct weekly orientations and maintain all caregiver records. Qualifications: 1. Compliance with company bonding criteria 2. Eighteen years of age or older, with U.S. citizenship and/or equivalent employment eligibility authorization 3. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and interact with clients, co-workers and all supervisors 4. High school diploma - Associate or Bachelor's degree strongly recommended 5. At least three years’ experience in administrative capacities, with experience relevant to scheduling, customer service and computer operation. Extensive experience in the home care field considered in lieu of other experience. 6. Ability to perform multiple tasks under strict deadlines. ROUTINE DUTIES: 1. Caregiver Recruitment a. Run ads as needed; find new media sources to run ads. b. Mine recruitment databases weekly for new caregiver applicants. c. Track responses to all ads and other recruitment sources. d. Routinely identify new avenues to recruit caregivers. e. Create/maintain relationships with CNA schools, nursing schools, community colleges, churches and other appropriate organizations which can be utilized for recruitment. f. Perform interviews both on the phone and in person. g. Administer appropriate tests h. Check references on all applicants that pass the testing. i. Schedule orientations and invite appropriate applicants. j. Recruit at least three caregivers/week. 2. Administrate weekly orientations a. Ensure at least three new applicants attend orientation each week. b. Make copies of all necessary documents and create badges for all employees. c. Show appropriate videos. d. Review employee handbook. e. Answer all questions, ensuring caregivers understand policies and procedures. f. Assist caregivers in filling out necessary paperwork. g. Run appropriate background checks. h. Conduct drug screening of all applicants. 3. On-call duties as assigned 4. Create and maintain caregiver files weekly. 5. Implement caregiver retention program, including rewards and recognition of caregivers throughout the month with approval of owner. 6. Perform caregiver yearly evaluations and caregiver discipline as needed. 7. Create and distribute monthly caregiver newsletter. 8. Updating employee postings mandated by law. 9. Assist with special project coordination at the discretion of the Director of Operations. Assisting Accountant with payroll coordination and processing, including the verification of units of service. 11. Assist designated staff with unemployment and workers’ compensation claims 12. Other duties as assigned. KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIS): 1. Recruiting at least three caregivers per week. 2. Conducting weekly orientations. 3. Spending at least one day in the field creating and maintaining relationships that could result in additional candidates for the agency. 4. Create and email caregiver newsletter to all caregivers by the fifth of the month. 5. Perform evaluations on caregivers within one month of the anniversary of their date of hire. 6. Reduce unemployment and workman's compensation claims below bench marks.
