It is the mission of Lotus Bloom Family Resource Center to provide a safe, welcoming, and inclusive space for traditionally underserved populations to come together in community and provide children with a rich learning foundation.

We currently seek an HR Generalist to oversee all systems and documentation relating to human resources including payroll, benefits, insurance, personnel policies as well as employee recruitment, hiring, evaluation, retention and professional development.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties Include:

  • Promote the mission of Lotus Bloom by advising on all activities related to recruitment, development and retention of talent.
  • Advise employees on questions related to HR; work cross-functionally to resolve personnel issues.
  • Support risk management, compliance, benefits and payroll related activities.
  • Promote safety and compliance to allow Lotus Bloom to continue smooth operations.
  • Consistently work to add process and sophistication to the HR and operations functions at Lotus Bloom.
  • Oversee facilities and administration teams, contracts and procedures.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven working experience as HR Generalist, HR Manager or HR Consultant
  • In- depth knowledge of Federal and California labor law and HR regulations
  • Experience in leading project management
  • In-depth knowledge of HR principles, functions, methods and best practices
  • Solid understanding of research methods and analysis
  • Computer savvy with working knowledge of human resource IT (ATS, Payroll etc.)
  • Ability to strategize and formulate business plans
  • An analytical mind with problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and consulting skills
  • A team player
  • BSc/BA in human resources, business administration or relevant field preferred
  • PHR/SPHR highly preferred
  • Family Support is at the core of our mission and vision . We are seeking an individual who understands or has a working knowledge of Family Support and is passionate about empowering children and families through strength-based practices.
  • Lived/Working experience in the African American community or verbal and written skills in Spanish, Chinese, or Arabic is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.46 - $29.33 per hour

License/Certification:

  • PHR or SHRM certification (Preferred)
