HR Director, IT Business Partner Details

Overview: The HR Director is responsible for the human resource needs of supported business unit(s) and implementation of best practices to support achievement of corporate business objectives within an IT environment. Involvement includes but is not limited to, employee relations, performance management, on site benefit support (virtual during COVID), organization development, training, maintenance and monitoring of local, state, and federal reporting and postings, FMLA oversight, and drive leveling and tiering projects inside IT to further career pathing initiatives.
Location: Atlanta, GA (virtual during the current pandemic, to be reassessed quarterly)
Travel: 0-10%
Organization: This position is a member of the Human Resources team and reports to the Vice President of Human ResourcesDuties & Responsibilities: 10 years of progressive experience as a Senior Human Resources Generalist, Manager, or Director required; or the equivalent combination of education and work experience. Previous experience working with an IT business function is strongly preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field; or combination of education and experience
  • Strong business acumen and executive presence
  • Ability to work on a wide range of sensitive and confidential matters
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining effective relationships with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work with limited supervision and high motivation
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, and organization required
  • Good reasoning abilities. Sound judgment and resourcefulness.
  • Strong MS Office and HRIS system skills, UltiPro and iCIMS preferred
  • Ability to work well under pressure, meeting multiple and sometimes conflicting deadlines
  • Knowledge of wage-and-hour and immigration laws and regulations
  • Knowledge of Employment Law and experience implementing the same
  • Experience partnering with managers and associates on various employee relations issues
  • Proactive nature and solutions oriented
Required Skills/Qualifications:
  • Basic knowledge of Section 125 cafeteria plans (flexible spending accounts) and 401(k) profit-sharing plans, including maintenance, recordkeeping, and reporting requirements
  • Knowledge of wage-and-hour laws and regulations
  • Experience dealing with Immigration status request process and practices aligned
  • Experience in compensation administration, establishing ranges, and researching market salary data
  • Experience supporting an IT business unit
