The Housekeeping Aide provides cleaning services according to established schedule and productivity standards to ensure the facility is maintained according to corporate policies, housekeeping guidelines and individual resident needs or requests.

Full Time
8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday - Friday with weekend rotation
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES/ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
Remove all soiled linens/towels and all solid waste from each assigned apartment to ensure quality infection control; sanitize all containers in the process
Make beds according to departmental standards for assigned areas
Clean and sanitize restrooms and kitchens and provide clean bed linens and towels according to departmental standards to minimize the spread of germs and ensure sanitary conditions
Perform high and low dusting throughout apartments and public areas to provide clean ventilation of areas
Perform floor care to consist of sweeping, vacuuming and mopping according to departmental standards to provide a clean and safe environment
Provide and stock supplies as required according to departmental standards
Provide accurate/updated information on linen information form to ensure accurate information for all staff having to service each department
Clean and maintain equipment, storage area and work station according to departmental standards to ensure proper maintenance and upkeep of equipment and work station
Additional duties as assigned

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Walking, bending, standing, stooping, reaching, kneeling approximately 95% of the time
Ability to lift 25 pounds without assistance, 26+ pounds with manual or mechanical assistance
Ability to push/pull up to 25 pounds unassisted
Ability to climb a ladder
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:
Ability to communicate effectively; to collaborate with team members and other departments
Ability to read work assignments and to communicate with residents/staff through verbal and written instructions
DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:
OSHA Certification
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or equivalency or combination of education and experience to fulfill requirements and essential duties of the position
One to two years directly related work experience
DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Experience working with seniors
Previous healthcare experience
Previous hospitality experience
