We are currently looking for a Hotel - Front Desk Agent/Night Auditor to join our team at Super 8 & Suites By Wyndham, Indio, CA. As a Front Desk Agent/Night Auditor, you'll be responsible for all duties of the front office operation, training & development, delivery of quality customer service and resolution of all guest issues, while maximizing room revenue and occupancy. KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Adhere to all hotel procedures, regulations and standards, while striving towards total guest satisfaction.
  • Familiar with OPERA property management system.
  • Checking guests in and out of the hotel in an efficient, courteous and professional manner.
  • Ensuring that special requests made by guests are noted and fulfilled.
  • Interacting with hotel associates in a professional manner.
  • Assisting other departments with necessary information.
  • Answering the telephone in a professional manner and assisting guests with any questions.
  • Managing and resolving all guest complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Listening and responding to guest inquiries using a positive, clear speaking voice.
  • Maintaining an up to date working knowledge of all property amenities and special events.
  • Auditing all charges and postings and correcting work as necessary.
  • Reconciling daily activity and closing all accounts in preparation for the new business day.
  • Processing, formatting and distributing daily reports.
  • Processing all payments according to hotel requirements.
  • Responding to guest needs in a timely manner.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • At least cash handling, and/or accounting experience.
  • Using strong analytical and mathematical skills to find discrepancies and make corrections
  • Basic to intermediate-level Accounting experience would be extremely helpful.
  • Completes detailed "Bucket Check" by verifying all information on guest folio and computer record are accurate and uniform including name, departure date, room and tax rate.
  • Posts daily room and tax rates to folios.
  • Generates daily and periodic reports including daily summary, security key audit and market segmentation reports.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Pleasant demeanor.
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong computer skills, with operational knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Positive, upbeat individuals who can deliver total guest satisfaction.
  • Candidate who is familiar with the Coachella Valley area; its venues and attractions.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations in a calm, professional manner.
  • Must have the ability to communicate clearly and directly with guests verbal and written. Must using a positive, clear speaking voice.
  • Previous related experience. Hotel and/or Night Audit experience preferred.
  • Must be willing and available to regularly work weekdays and weekends overnight shifts (11 pm to 7am).
  • Able to multitask
  • Able to respond to Customer Care Cases and Reviews
  • Able to monitor video cameras for security and protection of guest and himself.
  • Handle all computer end of day issues and problems that might occur throughout the shift.
  • Reconcile cash and credit card system to daily transaction list from rooms.
