Hospitality Manager, Night Shift
Employment Type : Full-Time
Responsible for all Resort operations during night shift hours, focusing on Front Office operations, night audit, guest and hotel safety/security, and ensuring a professional and high-quality service at all times.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities

- Assist the General/assistant Manager with all operational projects
- Manage, plan, and control the Night team to ensure a standard of service and to the guidelines set in the employee handbook, Resort policies and procedures, coaching, training, and correcting where needed.
- Ensure the smooth running of the Resort at nights by making sure that staffing levels are at the optimum and that they perform tasks assigned to them
- Provide an efficient and courteous information service for guests, knowledge of all company promotions and pricing, to provide information to guests as required
- Oversee the general upkeep of public areas, i.e., toilets, main foyer and porch, and all lighting levels for same. Lobby area to be cleaned every night in preparation for the next day's business
- Liaise with all other departments on the special requirements of large groups or individuals and follow-through, e.g., morning paper delivery, placing gifts in rooms, group departure times, etc
- Actively participate in any training and personnel exercises and remain current in all updates regarding new procedures designed to improve standards and performance levels
- Deal with guest complaints in a friendly and efficient manner, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times
- Upkeep of the equal opportunities policy to ensure that there is a neutral working environment
- Work in accordance with standard procedures within each department
- Keep staff/work areas tidy, safe and report any hazard, accident, loss, or damage to management and observe all requirements under Health & Safety at Work act (1989)
- Must perform multi-purpose tasking within the guidelines set forth by Capital Vacations
- Complies with all Capital Vacations policies and procedures
- Performs all other related duties and projects as assigned
Job Requirements
Education, Essential Training / Certifications, and Experience:
- High School Diploma/Degree
- Minimum of five (5) years in the hospitality industry
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
- Must have knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Must have the knowledge and able to use all essential office equipment
- Multitask oriented, organized, and able to set priorities
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to adjust and interact with all levels of personnel
- Must possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Must possess leadership skills
- Able to process and resolve guest service requirements
- Must be able to assist, train, and direct staff where necessary
- Must dress professionally
- Flexible schedule, weekends and holidays are a must
