ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Home Care coordinator Scheduler: · Schedule caregivers with clients; confirm schedules · Client charting and system profile management · Support recruiting and interviewing · New client intakes · Caregiver / client introductions · On-call rotation week nights and weekends General / Administrative coordinator Scheduler _ : _ · Answer phones and direct calls as appropriate · Support Care Manager with duties as assigned · Support Joint Commission and all applicable regulatory compliance requirements ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS for Home Care Coordinator Scheduler: · High volume / fast paced scheduling/staffing experience (min. 2 years) · Home care and administrative experience (min 2 years, max 10 years) · Excellent phone etiquette a MUST · Excellent time management · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills · Excellent documentation and detail orientation. · Excellent computer skills · Energetic, positive, friendly attitude · Ability to take directions and follow through · Ability to fill-in as a caregiver in emergency situation BASIC QUALIFICATIONS for Home Care Coordinator: · Associate college degree, preferred · Senior care experience a PLUS · Valid CA driver's license and good driving record · Must pass a criminal background check with the Dept. of Social Services and the FBI in association with the California Home Care Services Bureau · Pre-employment physical including negative TB skin test or chest X-ray · Must pass a drug screening · Available to work 8 am to 5 pm 7 days a week (rotating 5 days per week) Technical Skills: Home Care Coordinator Scheduler · Very good computer skills (Internet, Microsoft Word and Excel), enabling preparation of documents, label generation, mailing lists, etc. · Very good utilizing multi-line phone systems and office equipment (scanner, fax) · Familiarity with (homecare) scheduling software is a big plus · Requires familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the home care field Physical Demands: Home Care Coordinator Scheduler The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job · Ability to sit for extended periods of time · Ability to utilize a computer, type and use the telephone for extended periods of time · Ability to get in and out of a car multiple times a day during field visits Behavioral Skills: Home Care Coordinator Scheduler Requires the ability to prioritize and complete work on time, be detail-oriented, exhibit a service orientation to clients and be team player with a positive attitude.
