The right person for this role will be passionate about Home & Community Supports for individuals with intellectual disabilities. The Home and Community Assistant Manager is a member of the leadership team, and is primarily responsible for assisting with the overall direction and management of the division and development. In this role, a key responsibility would be to complete individual assessments and assisting individuals and families to find the support they need. Through this, you would develop the initial and annual Individual Support Plans and monitor those services to ensure family satisfaction. In addition, you would continuously oversee of how funds are being spent and managed in the division as well as provide input to build and expand the division further. You would also assist with the direct supervision of all in-home and community support personnel in efforts to continually train and develop.

What we’re looking for:

At a minimum, you’ll need -

  • High school Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Certificate required. Associate’s Degree or technical certification within a related area preferred. 6 months to 2 years of previous job- related experience expected. 2 to 5 years of previous job- related experience preferred.
  • Knowledge specific to the needs of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism, and/or the aging population.
  • A valid driver’s license with a clean record (no DUIs within the last five years).
  • Access to regular use of a vehicle with valid insurance coverage.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Flexible to work all assigned work schedules including holidays, evenings, nights, and weekend hours as business needs dictate.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents in English. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.

It’d be great if you also have:

  • Experience supporting people to live independently in the community.
  • Regulatory Compliance (ie. Chapter 51, 2380, 6400).
  • Developmental Planning and Goal Setting.
