**SCHEDULING INTERVIEWS FOR ASSEMBLERS, MAINTENANCE MECHANICS AND MACHINE OPERATORS FOR THE NEXT TWO WEEKS (OCTOBER 5TH-9TH and OCTOBER 12TH-16TH)** By appointment only! Pay: $15.75 per hour We are scheduling daily, masked, in-person interviews from: Daily interview times: 11:30AM-4:00PM Work Schedule: · 1st and 2nd Shift Monday-Friday with occasional Saturdays POSITIONS OPEN: PRODUCTION WORKER/ASSEMBLER/MACHINE OPERATOR/MECHANIC GENERAL PURPOSE: Process Areas: Coiling, Foam Encasement, Assembly, Gluing, Sewing, Borders, Quilting, Closing and Packing PRODUCTION/ASSEMBLY ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: · Follows all safety policies and procedures defined by the company safety program and OSHA regulations to eliminate work-related injuries · Practices Lean principles and participate in Kaizen events and continuous improvement projects · Manufactures sufficient quantities of quality products per specified standards · Sets up and operates automatic or semiautomatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation · Monitors the process using meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/process specifications · Reports any malfunctions or abnormalities and makes minor adjustments and repairs to equipment · Assembles mechanical units, fabricated parts/components and/or electrical/electronic systems to make subassemblies, assemblies or complete units using hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures, and miscellaneous equipment · Fits, aligns, calibrates and adjusts parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product operating requirements; repairing units or products that have failed to meet requirements · Follows established procedures for operating various conventional and/or CNC (computerized numerical control) manufacturing equipment for tasks such as cutting, punching, forming, drilling, tapping, turning, milling, and stamping to fabricate, form or shape manufactured parts, tools or parts assemblies from raw materials · Selects and measures raw materials and parts to specifications to prepare for production processing · Resolves issues related to the organization's production, machinery, processing and/or packaging operations JOB DESCRIPTION: Positions mattress on table and operates sewing machine around table while feeding in materials to be sewn. Ensures quality standards are maintained. This is the final mattress assembly operation before packaging. MACHINE OPERATER ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: · Moves the mattress on and off table for sewing · Operates sewing machine including feeding materials into sewing machine as the sewing machine is moved around mattress · Re-threads sewing machine as needed. Ensures quality standards are maintained · Corrects any defective taping on mattresses · Changes the needle and binding tape for the sewing machine as needed · Maintains clean work area and follows proper safety procedures · Sweeps floors as needed · Makes any necessary sewing machine adjustments and handles basic maintenance of machine such as lubrication. REQUIREMENTS: · Must be at least 18 years or older · Must be able to read, write, and speak English · High school diploma or GED required · Entry-level with little or no experience · Previous experience in a manufacturing operations environment preferred Work involves physical demands typically found in a manufacturing environment, such as but not limited to: prolonged standing, bending, heavy lifting and/or moving materials This job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties or responsibilities associated with the job. Operates within one or more area(s) in a continuous flow manufacturing process executing prescribed repetitive processes to meet production and quality standards. Identifies process disruptions/malfunctions and makes minor adjustments per standard operating procedures and protocols. Performs routine inspections and basic preventative maintenance on equipment.
