JOB OBJECTIVE: Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Recruitment, the Higher Education Recruitment Specialist will be responsible for the overall success of both new and maintained relationships with high educational institutions as well as the agency’s internship program.
SCHEDULE: Non-exempt
- Monday through Friday, 9am-5pm
- Must be flexible to meet agency needs
- Travel outside of regular work hours and office location may be required based on project needs
FUNCTIONS:
- Become knowledgeable with colleges and universities that have programs and degrees from which the agency would benefit from establishing relationships with
- Maintain and improve relationships with colleges and universities with which we already have established internship agreements with
- Establish a year-round internship calendar for the agency as a whole
- Maintain relationships with colleges and universities to establish and optimize talent pipelines for full-time employment opportunities with the agency
- Maintains all pertinent and required documentation for each college or university relationship
- Partner with the agency Communications department to advertise and promote the agency’s internship program
- Partner with the Human Resources Recruitment Team to ensure the successful hiring of qualified graduates
- Travel to college and university networking and recruiting events to further establish and maintain relationships
- Participate in other related events off and onsite
- Host virtual and in-person career events at agency sites
- Responsible for the coordination and onboarding and offboarding of all external interns
- Partners with program management to manage all internal internships.
Required Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field & two years in recruiting, sourcing, search, or staffing
- Proven track record of being able to establish and maintain relationships with higher educational institutions
- Effective communications skills for interacting with executives, middle level managers, employees, intern applicants and educational institutions
- Ability to multitask in a fast paced dynamic environment with a sense of urgency
- Requires working well with people of diverse backgrounds, knowing how to represent Cayuga Centers in a positive manner
- Highly skilled in MS Office and working knowledge of web-based ATS, HRIS or equivalent systems is required - knowledge of Google Office Suite a plus
- Excellent communication and organizational skills and ability to work in a flexible team context
- Ability to handle confidential material in a responsible manner.
- Must be able to travel to different agency sites as needed
- Valid NYS State Driver’s License
