Careers that Change Lives In this exciting role as a Credit Collections Clerk II you will work within Patient Financial Services Refunds team as a Refunds and Credit specialist handling high volume of account reconciliation processing transfers, pulling EOB’s, submitting refund, adjustment, write off requests, making outbound calls as needed to resolve credit balances and update accounts with appropriate transactions and notes. This is hybrid position; employees must be able to work onsite at our Northridge, CA Medtronic facility as well as remotely. A Day in the Life Responsible for handling high volume of credit accounts requiring resolution and reconciliation to resolve a credit balance Handle written and verbal inquiries to payors to analyze and problem solve account issues to full resolution. Escalate complex accounts as necessary to the appropriate department or supervisor. Assist as assigned with correspondence, e-mails, voicemails, write-offs, and other projects as the needed. Understand and answer questions regarding Explanation of Benefits (EOB). Maintain work view at inflow to ensure prompt account resolution to minimize workload. Meet standard of 95% or higher of productivity goal and maintain an average quality score of 2.80 or above. Collaborate with unit Leadership and departments across the revenue cycle to ensure prompt resolution to credit accounts Collaborate with the peers and leadership on assigned projects as needed Assist with assignments as directed by management Must Have: Minimum Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent required. 0 years of relevant experience Nice to Have Prior healthcare experience on Centricity GE system and SAP Working in a medial group performing collection activities, healthcare facility, Medical Group Extensive related knowledge with Government Payors (Medicare / Medicaid), processing of insurance claims and reading EOB’s (explanation of benefits) Ability to be flexible with working hours given adequate notice. Ability to accept and carry out oral and written instructions accurately Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively and diplomatically with internal and external customer both in person and over the telephone.
