Overview: **This position is temporary** Various Shifts The COVID-19 Health Screener is responsible for monitoring all incoming employees, contractors and guests at all screening stations to ensure each person is screened prior to entering UAMS facilities. The Screener will be expected to perform specific duties that support patient care and a welcoming environment.

Salary: $14.00 hourly
Responsibilities:

  • Greets and screens all employees and visitors prior to allowing entry to UAMS facilities.
  • Monitors incoming staff members, contractors, vendors, guests, patients, etc.
  • Verifies employee identification badge.
  • Completes temperature checks on each person/s entering the facility by using a thermometer.
  • Allows entrance into UAMS facility based on results from temperature and/or basic questions according to established guidelines.
  • Provides masks and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at each facility entrance (if needed).
  • Maintains inventory levels for masks, thermometer covers, etc.
  • May be required to travel to various locations.
  • Performs other job related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Required to wear provided Personal Protective Equipment while performing specific tasks
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to use thermometer and any other required equipment
  • Computer proficiency is required.
  • Perform work safely, following all company policies and procedures
