Working under the supervision of the Associate Director of Healthy Campus, the individual assists with the planning, implementation and assessment of the Aspire to Be Well Program and other health and well-being initiatives designed for the improvements in health outcomes, academic retention and success, and overall satisfaction of the students, faculty and staff.

JOB DUTIES:

35% - Essential - Develop curriculum, website content, assessment and assist with training for the continuous improvement of the Aspire to be Well Program, a peer delivered prevention/risk-reduction program on alcohol and other drug misuse prevention, interpersonal violence prevention, mental health awareness, suicide prevention, holistic wellness, and fosters bystander intervention skills, knowledge acquisition, and resource awareness for entering undergraduate and other target populations as required. Oversee the implementation of Aspire sessions.

25% - Essential - Manage the CU 1000 completion and reconciliation components of the Aspire program. Assist with the Aspire Creative Inquiry Team. Coordinate will faculty and research partners and staff stakeholders.

20% - Essential - Develop, assist, and support health initiatives designed to strengthen the knowledge, skills, attitudes and intentions of individuals, organizations, and community members toward achieving Healthy Campus objectives. Coordinate Certified Peer Educator Training as requested by the Honors College, Fraternity and Sorority Life, and others. Manage online program requests and health modules.

10% - Essential - Assist in identifying and fostering collaboration on campus related to policy changes, leadership learning, inclusive environments and co-curricular opportunities connected with health and safety issues, emphasizing the socio-ecological model of public health to foster an environment on campus and in the surrounding community that is healthy and sustainable.

10% - Essential - Represent Healthy Campus on a divisional, university and community level. This may include the Clemson Community Coalition and other groups involved in Healthy Campus related strategies and risk-reduction activities as needed. Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education - Bachelor's Degree in health education, health promotion or a closely related field such as psychology, biology, sociology, education or physical education and health education experience.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

Education - Master's Degree - Student Affairs Administration, Education, Public Health, Psychology, Clinical Mental Health or related field. Assessment experience and proven success developing student learning outcomes and curricula.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

5% - Overnight Travel

Frequent late nights during the implementation of Aspire.

WORK SCHEDULE:

Standard Hrs: 37.5; Expected Salary Range: ($ 34,331.00 - $ 36,000.00)

ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL

Normal Operations

Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected work on-site during emergency situations.
