Essential Duties
• Create immunization records in the District’s student information database and update and follow-up with non-compliant students.
• Provide appropriate and timely care to sick and/or injured students.
• Monitor and support implementation of Health Care Action Plans.
• Document on the clinic register all students who visit and leave the clinic.
• Contact parents/emergency contacts as needed to arrange for student pick-up if necessary.
• Administer and document medications to students.
• Input data into the District’s student information database regarding students who leave the school sick.Compile and update medications consent forms and send to area nurse.
• Maintain adequate supplies in clinic; order supplies as needed.
• Count controlled medications.
• Produce mailing to parents of students not in compliance with immunizations.
• Coordinate and schedule immunization clinics.
• Verify that each student in school has emergency card and media release card.
This position will also assist in greeting and assisting students, parents, staff and visitors in the Counseling office as needed.
This position is 5.0 hour health assistant position & 2 hours as an educational paraprofessional positon, totalling 7 hours a day.
Starting pay is $15.406 per hour.
