The Pig is seeking a Head Bartender. In addition to regular bartending shifts, the Head Bartender has supervisory responsibilities in the following areas: · Leads liquor, beer and wine orientations. Oversees ongoing training for servers and new bar staff; · Conducts end-of month inventory, as well as weekly inventory and ordering (Sunday and Wednesday evenings) and oversees the organization and maintenance of storage areas; · Drafts weekly schedules for bar staff and manages requests off. Must be available to cover shifts periodically when called upon; · Attends weekly management meetings and submits weekly reports to the General Manager; · Assists management in controlling liquor, beer and wine costs by monitoring product usage and logging waste; · In conjunction with management team, develops drink program based on customer feedback, sales figures and seasonal changes. The Head Bartender sets the example for the rest of the bar staff to follow in regards to timeliness, uniform and professionalism. The position is full time, roughly equaling 40 hours per week on average, and requires evening and weekend availability. In addition to tips earned, a weekly salary is offered along with food and beverage privileges per shift. Vacation, quarterly bonuses and 50% insurance premium coverage are also offered.
