Job Summary: Videographer, photographer, and multimedia specialist for the Hollings Cancer Center.

Payscale Salary Range: UNIV-Band 6: $41,778.00 - $59,538.50 - $77,299.00 (min - mid - max)

Job Duties:

  • 35% - Videographer (35%) • Provide video assets for Hollings, producing creative videos that capture the key elements of storytelling with a grasp of the technical aspects of editing and post-production skills. • Lead the creative process, including planning, shooting, editing and distribution for Hollings’ video projects • Maintain an organized database of all digital assets • Integrate motion graphics and animation software into video production • Comply with accessibility and brand standards - (Essential)
  • 35% - Photographer (35%) • Responsible for all aspects of professional photography production, including planning and shooting various styles of photos for use with news and feature stories, on the website, video boards and in other collateral's • Use advanced techniques for photo editing and other production and post-production functions. • Maintain an organized database of all photographic assets and consent forms • Provide photographic illustrations as needed for communication projects • Ensure visual communications complies with brand standards - (Essential)
  • 20% - Multimedia specialist (20%) • Assist communications team with multimedia projects • Provide edits of podcasts • Assist in distribution of photos and videos for public relations/media requests • Design, produce, and finish interactive presentation products, with creative use of illustrations, image editing, graphic design, scanning, digital video, and/or animation software to integrate graphics with text and audio. - (Essential)
  • 10% - Communications (10%) As a team member of Hollings’ Communications department, assist with other communication projects such as live streaming, virtual events, media escorts, special events and other duties as assigned. - (Essential)

Preferred Experience & Additional Skills: Bachelor's Degree in Multimedia Technology/Production, Television and Film Communication, Theater, Journalism, Public Relations, Photography, Graphic or Commercial Arts, or a closely related field and three years of work experience in multimedia with advanced level photography and videography services

Knowledge of:
  • Experience in video production/editing and multimedia software demonstrating Adobe Creative Suite proficiency, video production/editing program skills and graphic design creativity.
  • Portfolio of work demonstrating digital imaging technology, techniques, methods and formats.
  • Knowledge of equipment, tools, and supplies used in the taking, processing, enhancing, and use of photographs including various cameras/lenses, image processing software and types of lighting.
  • Understanding of copyright and accessibility regulations and privacy laws.
  • Knowledge of processes and software used in image correction and printing.
  • Ability to work creatively under deadline pressure.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of media production, communication and dissemination techniques and methods.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience using video camera equipment and lighting.
  • Comprehensive understanding of storytelling, design and editorial processes, as well as the ability to integrate them with the institution’s branding and core values
  • In-depth experience using the Adobe Creative Suite and advanced video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premier, Final Cut Pro or Avid Media Composer).
  • Knowledge of multimedia production, including creation of podcasts.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: A bachelor's degree in graphic arts or art and three years work experience in graphics arts for print media publications.
