JOB SUMMARY
Check in and check out hotel guests courteously and efficiently; process all payments according to established hotel requirements. Provide information to any guest or visitor inquiry.
JOB DUTIES
- Arrive at scheduled start time in appropriate uniform and ready for work.
- Provide prompt service and actively seek opportunities to drive Guest satisfaction.
- Ensure the team is kept fully aware of any relevant feedback from either the Guests or other departments.
- Manage, resolve or escalate any and all Guest issues quickly and efficiently; follow-up as needed to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Work with all facilities and services provided within the hotel and identify opportunities for up-selling and promoting new or ongoing events.
- Advise team of any special events or VIP Guests in the hotel for events or for general accommodations.
- Ensure a high level of product knowledge of the hotel and the local area and be aware of the daily hotel event schedule.
- Watch for safety hazards and report them immediately to your Supervisor/Manager.
- Attend all mandatory Department and Hotel meetings.
- Complete all required training within time frame allotted.
- Act in accordance with fire, health and safety regulations and follow the correct procedures as required.
- Perform other duties as directed, developed or assigned.
- Support environmental commitments by acquiring the knowledge, skills and values to be a leader in the global goal of “greening” the hospitality industry
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 18 years of age
- US work authorization required
- Must meet grooming standards
- Minimum six (6) months experience as a Guest Service Agent in a hotel/resort (or comparable in other customer focused industry)
- Minimum six (6) months cash handling experience required
- Able to demonstrate high energy and a passion to serve
- Able to work with little or no supervision
- Able to work as part of a team
- Possesses strong attention to detail
- Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal form
- Able to stand on your feet for extended periods of time
- Willingness to work varied shifts, inlcuding weekends and holidays
