Overview
Responsible for accurate recognition and experiential maximization of VIP, repeat, and special occasion guests for The Villa Operation, as a personal ambassador for each. Responsible for informing all resort departments of these guests’ itineraries, special needs and requests, and personal preferences, as well as for coordinating the execution of preferred services and amenities. Responsible for promoting and enhancing guest recognition throughout the resort. Responsible for an enthusiastic initial greeting of all guests that enter front desk area. Responsible for increasing the resort’s percentage of repeat guests, therein evidencing loyalty versus satisfaction.

Qualifications
- High school degree
- Hospitality management education or at least two years of experience in events coordination, as a concierge, or at a front desk.
- Superior and specific knowledge of the greater Charleston area, including businesses, events, and places of interest
- Ability to communicate clearly with proper grammar in English
- CPR certification (may be acquired within 6 months of employment)
- High aptitude for computer programs
- Excellent organization habits
- Effective conflict resolution skills
- Professional and cooperative demeanor
- Positive and energetic attitude

Responsibilities
- Efficiently coordinate and seamlessly execute greeting, rooming, transportation, and departure for VIP, repeat, special occasion, and important group guests.
- Recognize all repeat guests upon arrival, using name recognition when possible.
- Creatively coordinate “Welcome Back” correspondence and amenities for repeat, VIP, and special occasion guests.
- Creatively coordinate amenities for VIP and important group guests.
- Graciously execute greeting when guest are present in our front desk area.
- Energetically assist VIP, repeat, special occasion, and important group guests in resolving accommodation complaints and reservation/package concerns as well as in planning and booking activities.
- Maintain integrity and effectiveness of Guest Recognition Program via promotion throughout the resort.
- Actively maintain and effectively utilize a comprehensive repeat guest database.
- Maintain integrity of Guest Preferences System through proactive, cooperative, and appropriate communication with other hotel and resort departments.
- Ensure that non-English speaking and ESL guests are comfortable and satisfied with communication channels.
- Proficiently complete Guest Relations checklist tasks and paperwork, effectively utilizing information.
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of Villa’ and Homes, services, and facilities, including personnel, features, and hours of operations.
- Maintain effective knowledge of KIGR amenities, nearby places of interest and necessity, and Charleston businesses, attractions, and activities.
- Proficiently operate all Front Office equipment, including administrative machines, telecommunication systems, and software programs.
- Respond to security and emergency situations in accordance with established Sanctuary guidelines.
- Comply with procedures and requirements established in the Front Office Manual.
