We are establishing a new Group Decision-Making and Governance Office responsible for driving our governance principles, architecture, and best practices. It will also address the requirement that our primary risk types are being considered in the correct governance forums, aligned with oversight by the appropriate board-level committees. Enhancing the effectiveness of Citi’s global decision-making and governance processes is a critical aspect of our Transformation. To drive our efforts in this area globally, the office will work closely with Citi’s Executive Management Team and directly with our in-business leaders, second-line partners and Internal Audit. By co-ordinating our approach, the new office will ensure we challenge one another to achieve higher standards in our decision making. We need leaders who are striving for excellence, armed with actionable information, and operating within an optimal organizational structure. The Group Governance Officer will execute on program assessment and enhancement for the Group Governance Team, a lean, centralized team of governance professionals. The Group Governance Team works across Functions, Products, Regions and Legal Entities to enhance and standardize Citi’s governance programs and bodies.
