DescriptionPURPOSE OF POSITION: Supervise a staff of cashiers, baristas and bussers/runners at the Deer Valley Grocery~Cafe. This position will involve a variety of different tasks on a daily basis to provide excellent food and drink service.
SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- 1 year experience in restaurant supervision or management
- Barista and/or retail experience is a plus
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must be very detail oriented and good at multi-tasking
- Must maintain composure under stress
- Must be flexible to change, team player and very customer service orientated
- Will be expected to work weekends, nights and holidays
- Lifting and carrying at least 30 lbs.
- Withstand frequent up-an-down/twisting/repetitive movements
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Includes all duties of the Cashier/Barista position
- Using good judgement on matters of staffing shifts, ensuring a high productivity level with staff, tending to guests’ needs and ensuring the café is running smoothly overall
- Maintaining professional and positive relationships between BOH and FOH
- Assisting with end of the month Inventory
- Ordering storeroom supplies
- Keeping an eye on website changes and updates
- Entering timecard corrections on Sunday
- List of duties for Employees including special cleaning projects
- Making sure Ipad lists are send daily
- Being a leader and supporting the staff on the floor.
- Training new employees
- Assisting with evaluations.
- Following up on basket orders and to go orders
- Covering manager duties while the manager out
- Helping with schedule as needed
- Assisting with closing end of the day reports
- Counting safe weekly
- Checking changes on prices in invoices for merchandising of retail
- Printing and maintaining forms (employee meal, checkout, holiday forms, special order forms)
- Managing the Café and acting as the main contact for staff when Grocery Café Manager is out of town
