IThrive Network is a digital wellbeing community connecting women who serve with resources, tools, and community to thrive in career and life. IThrive Network is seeking highly skilled and experienced mental health grant writers to help us grow our community and program funding. Our grant writing team consists of a two-person team responsible for the full range of grant development activities for the organization. These activities include grant writing and reporting with public agencies, private foundations and corporations. Specifically, this staff is responsible for collaborating with organizational leaders to write coherent, organized and compelling proposals, and for submitting timely and accurate reports for all existing grant funded projects in accordance with IThrive Network's strategic plan.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepares proposals by determining concept, gathering and formatting information, writing drafts, and obtaining approvals.
  • Determines proposal concept by identifying and clarifying opportunities and needs, studying requests for proposal (RFPs), and attending strategy meetings.
  • Meets proposal deadline by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, review, approval, and transmittal.
  • Enters and monitors tracking data.
  • Coordinates requirements with contributors and contributes proposal status information to review meetings.
  • Gathers proposal information by identifying sources of information, coordinating submissions and collections, and identifying and communicating risks associated with proposals.
  • Develops proposal by assembling information including project nature, objectives/outcomes/deliverables, implementation, methods, timetable, staffing, budget, standards of performance, and evaluation.
  • Writes, revises, and edits drafts including executive summaries, conclusions, and organization credentials.
  • Maintains quality results by using templates; following proposal-writing standards including readability, consistency, and tone; maintaining proposal support databases.
  • Perform research on foundations, governmental opportunities, and corporations to evaluate prospects for grants
  • Locate or propose potential grant opportunities by contacting potential partners/grantors
  • Arrange grant business development meetings with prospective grantors
  • Attend corporate/ foundation events in target areas
  • Develop written proposals and applications to foundations and other grant-making organizations and individuals
  • Write Letter of Intent (LOI) and custom letters upon request or inquiry
  • Set up files for necessary grant documentation
  • Devise a research system
  • Determine applicable grants for submission and schedule needed submission dates
  • Complete the grant packet of materials
  • Track grant information into a designated database
  • Follow-up after the grant is received with all stewardship pieces.
  • Work with leadership to gather information necessary to report to foundation funders on current grant programs
  • Comply with all grant reporting as required by foundation, governmental, and corporate donors
  • Maintain current records regarding grant tracking and reporting
  • Track statistics relevant to development, and provide written materials necessary.
  • Displays adherence to the organization's mission.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in English, Journalism, Political Science, Management, Communications, or related field is required
  • Minimum of four (4) years of development setting experience
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience with grant research and writing
  • Must have exemplary writing skills with an ability to communicate descriptively or persuasively with strict attention to detail
  • Ability to network at the senior executive level
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a team leader or team member to complete assigned tasks
  • Ability to be resourceful on independent projects
  • Able to represent the organization professionally and credibly with the community-at-large
  • Demonstrated ability to show initiative and to be a self-motivated, innovative, and independent thinker
  • Must have excellent follow-up and follow-through skills
  • High proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Working knowledge of all standard office equipment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25,895.00 - $91,263.00 per year
