Job Overview: As the Global Security Communications Specialist, the role will support the Communications team to ensure all projects are delivered to standard, on time and to budget. The role works directly with Global Security to develop strategies, programs, systems and tools that enhance our approach in keeping employees safe and secure.
This role will involve aligning day-to-day specifics of the communications team with leadership goals to ensure that the team is maturing at a similar rate and direction as the larger Global Security organization. The person in this position will play an integral role in defining scalable communications team standards and ensuring that the team is holding itself accountable to meeting them.
Please note, all teams are working from home during the pandemic. Once on- site operations are re-established, physical presence is required at the client facility during normal business hours.How You Will Make An Impact:

  • Lead the initiative to audit the current knowledge base systems and provide strategic recommendations for changes and improvements
  • Write concise documentation including but not limited to the following: knowledge base, Wiki, processes, best practices, communications, and presentations
  • Create and maintain internal site content for organization, content, accuracy, and brand
  • Maintain library for communications team’s document control, team collaboration, and external socialization
  • Provides key business partners with information and recommendations to assist in the development and implementation of training resources and plans
  • Write and simplify processes and procedures into understandable language, workflows, and instructions
  • Participate in all aspects of documentation development from project planning through project release, including but not limited to: developing, writing, editing, and publishing the content
  • Look for operational efficiencies while documenting content and communicate areas of improvement within process to SMEs and managers
  • Work collaboratively with various teams and disciplines to develop documentation that satisfies its intended purpose, within schedule and budget limitations
  • Lead or assist with retention, file naming and file storage initiatives
  • Understand and apply context towards different content types, tailor content to best fit audience, and apply critical thinking to ensure that content meets standards. Maintain working knowledge of other industry-standard platforms
  • Create internal forms to collect information and kick-off internal tracking process for new project requests
What You Will Need To Succeed:
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 3-5 years of experience creating, documenting and presenting policies and procedures on a global scale required
  • Demonstrate project management skills that drive results
  • Ability to analyze stakeholder needs and resolve conflicts while communicating decisions in a timely manner
  • Experience in managing requests/concerns from regional and local partners to ensure success of programs on a global scale
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in a cross-pyramid capacity
  • Excellent communication, written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work effectively and a desire to make an impact
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Highly motivated with a positive attitude; able to work independently as well as in a team environment
