We are looking for a solid General Superintendent for the Solar Client. This position would be responsible for all activities on sites throughout the US, EXCEPT the Electrical aspects on a project which they have a Superintendent allocated to that.
Position will have to be based out of Tucson, no exceptions with approximately 50% travel to various sites throughout the US. Relocation packages have been approved.
Job Responsibilities:
- Supervising, directing, coaching, training, and mentoring members of the project team, including direct and indirect reports.
- Ensure that all company work is completed within established safety, quality, schedule and profitability standards.
- Work with Corporate Safety to ensure jobsite safety performance is compliant and take corrective actions as needed to ensure the safe performance of all work.
- Lead planning efforts to ensure the safe and efficient execution of project tasks.
- Working with each project team, manage and coordinate all project equipment, materials, manpower, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Developing and maintaining strong customer-focused relationships with all stakeholders.
- Lead the company’s vehicle maintenance and procurement efforts.
- Interface with project clients and stakeholders to effectively coordinate and communicate construction activities.
- Coordinate with company project management and engineering staff as needed to ensure the timely and accurate flow of information to field personnel.
- Assist with project kick off and closeout efforts as needed.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion and processing of all project field documentation.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
- 10+ years demonstrated success in a construction supervisory role within the commercial, industrial, oil/gas, telecommunications or heavy civil construction industry.
- Solar experience is a plus, but not necessary.
- Ability to effectively lead and direct crews with varying levels of skill and experience. Must be a natural leader and organizer who leads by example and sets the pace for those around them.
- High attention to Detail.
- Thorough knowledge of all applicable federal and local safety regulations.
- Thorough knowledge of local and national building codes and standards.
- Able to manage multiple project commitments in different states and areas.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including proficiency in MS Excel, Word and Outlook
- Ability to travel as needed. Frequent short-term travel (in-state and out-of-state) is expected with occasional long-term assignments. Estimated 50% travel
- OSHA 30 is a plus

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
