Silicon Valley Gay Men’s Chorus is looking for an entrepreneurial leader to oversee the day-to-day operations of our chorus. The ideal candidate considers themself positive, kind, a motivational influencer, and a team-oriented independent thinker. Please note this position will serve as an independent contractor. Administration and Community Outreach Coordinate administrative support for SVGMC performances, rehearsals, and other events. Recruit and manage volunteers. Coordinate with volunteer staff, bookkeeper, and Board Treasurer for the maintenance of financial, patron, and member records including mailing lists, resource lists, membership lists, and concert information. Support fundraising efforts to benefit SVGMC including special events, development events, and submission of grants. Supervise the use of office space, equipment, and supplies. Artistic Production Support the Artistic Director and coordinate with the needs of artistic production. Support the Marketing Chair and coordinate with the needs for marketing and advertising. Support the functions of the Box Office Manager, House Manager, and Advertising Manager. Serve as SVGMC liaison for and manager of ticket-sales platform, Vendini. Communication Receive, forward, and reply to SVGMC mail and electronic correspondence as appropriate. Maintain the master calendar of chorus activities and events. Serve as contact to other choruses, agencies, and organizations. Post and/or distribute messages for SVGMC’s membership to facilitate clear communication within the organization. Miscellaneous Promote positive support for the membership, staff, and volunteers of SVGMC. Embrace the mission and vision of SVGMC and work with the Board of Directors to support and promote the mission and vision within the membership and greater community. Attend monthly SVGMC Board of Directors meetings and provide organizational updates. Other duties as assigned and approved by the Board President.
