The DoubleTree by Hilton Chandler is looking for a new Team Member for our maintenance department. We are looking for helping hands to our staff and to our guests to maintain our beautiful property inside and out.
Essential Job Duties Include:
- Work closely with other departments to ensure coordination of repairs
- Perform minor and routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring and other related maintenance activities.
- Maintain furnaces, air conditioners, and boiler to provide heat, cool air, and hot water for guests.
- Increase the level of guest satisfaction by delivering an exceptional product through employee development.
- Respond and resolve guest requests, complaints, or questions in a courteous and timely manner.
- Maintains problem log book to record the equipment in need of repair and prioritizes accordingly
- Maintains room in optimal operating condition by performing repairs as needed
- Repairs televisions, phones, radio clocks, etc
- Replaces or repairs damaged bathroom fixtures and executes general plumbing as needed
- Maintains the overall appearance of the room; replaces broken mirrors, hangs fixtures, does touch-up, painting
- Repairs and maintains room's ventilation/heating/air conditioning system
- Uses both power and hand tools regularly in a safe and efficient manner
- Performs preventative maintenance throughout the hotel as well, including both the front and the back of the house, interior and exterior
- Maintains the condition of the lobbies and other areas
- Repairs furniture and decorations as necessary
- Repairs carpet, marble, tile, vinyl, paint, etc * Repairs and replaces windows and mirrors
- Maintains exterior of building and grounds as necessary
- Maintains operating equipment in working condition by performing routine equipment checks and repairs
- Demonstrates familiarity with the hotel's life safety systems and takes corrective action on any maintenance or operating problems which affect the security or operating condition of the hotel
- Handles master set of keys in accordance with hotel policy for the overall security of the hotel
- Reports any hazards or injuries in the department or hotel and takes immediate action to correct
- Maintains cleanliness of individual work area and storage rooms
- Minimizes safety hazards by following all safety rules and procedures
- Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance
- Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position
- Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other company employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate
- At all times projects a favorable image of the company and the hotel to the public
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $15.25 per hour
